Pasindu Kalhara Medagedara is an author, translator & a cover designer in Sri Lanka, who discloses talents from early childhood. He wrote his first story book when He was 16 years old. Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka published his first science fiction book in 2007. He had translated books into Sinhalese. His hobbies are arts and cover designing. He is the only child in family, so He felt lonely most of the time. Whenever He felt lonely, He lies down on bed & constructs his own dream world. Nobody guessed that the little scribbler could have been a budding artist who loved to observe nature, He created his own stories, own characters in his own world, looking at the nature. In the night, He gazed at the night sky wondering about the stars and moon, hoping to become an astronomer one day. He picked up things fast and seeing his reading out his father's and other author’s books and newspapers in his nativity language, his father & mother, were teachers. His parents were very happy and proud of his versatility but were worried about his school works. :) Therefore his mother and father did not encourage his author life. However, commencing his path in art He came up with his first story book at a very young age, without having the slightest idea about becoming an author. He went to Richmond College, Galle, Sri Lanka. He kept on his writing and designing, many people weren't knowing about his talents other than his closest friends. Being a very silent student in school He never talked about his work & never participated in any literary programs in his collage. Teachers surprised & asked that if really he wrote this when He received Best Science Fiction Awards in 2007. His tendency for exploring in various fields. He studies himself in various subjects including computer, web designing, Photoshop, video editing, astronomy, scriptwriting, film making & more. He received Best Science Fiction Awards – 2007 for his first official story. (Competition of Student’s Manuscript) Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka.
