Chantel Sills is an African American contemporary fiction author from Norfolk, Virginia. She was born on January 10, 1993. She is a Granby High School graduate, Class of 2011. Before signing to a publishing company in the spring of 2014, she honed her craft as a student at Virginia Wesleyan College, Class of 2016, where she majored in Creative writing and minored in theatre. She has written plenty of plays, short stories, and poems. Her debut novel, “Loving A Baller” was re-released in 2020. Writing is her true passion, but she currently, uses her creative talents to help shape the little minds of pre-k students.

She has always been an extremely creative individual with a vivid imagination. She fell in love with writing as a child when her uncle assigned her a writing project to help her with her grammar and has since made it her mission to ensure that writing would continue to be a major part of her life.

Chantel’s introduction to the “Loving A Baller” series was originally released under Blaque Diamond Publications in the summer of 2014 but was re-released under her own name in January 2020. She has parted ways with her company, and though she will always cherish those times and the valuable information she gained, she is enjoying figuring things out on her own. The sequel, “Loving A Baller 2,” and the finale, “Loving A Baller 3: The Finals,” are currently in the works with possible release dates in 2021 and 2022. Both will be self-published by the author.

Chantel is learning the ropes of the self-publishing game and plans to release many projects throughout 2021 and 2022. One particular project she takes special pride in is her web series called The Loving Games which she is still perfecting. Now she has her first published novel, Loving A Baller. She takes great pride in each of her books, but this one has an extra special place in her heart. Chantel feels a special connection with her main character Brooklyn, because like Brooklyn, she had a situation where she had to choose between a relationship and her sanity. Just like Brooklyn, she walked away. Ms. Sills prides herself on writing women that the author can relate to and love. She is excited to share that and more with the world. Be sure to follow her on social media to stay updated with her future releases and appearances.
