FULL DISCLOSURE: The photo is indeed me, but it was taken more than half a lifetime ago. Nevertheless, somewhere deep inside, that’s how I see myself.
The single most important thing about me is that I’m a writer. Oh sure, I’ve done a lot of other things during my life, but none of those things mean as much to me as this does.
I've been an amateur writer ever since I was in my teens, but it was mostly fan fiction, and often contained graphic sex between men. Although my stories were well received by other fans, due to copyright considerations, I was not able to put them before the public for sale.
Now, with the introduction of ebooks, self-publishing is finally available to aspiring writers without tons of money, so I decided to try my hand at erotica by creating the Orgasm Incorporated Series. This is basically hardcore omnisexual erotica, partly Science Fiction, but mostly focussed on sex of all kinds and descriptions.
My Rick&Jerry Series is gay male erotica, part romance and part adventure, with a large helping of hot sex added in for good measure.
I’ve been writing fanfiction ever since the early 80’s, but just a couple of years ago, I started writing my own stories and turning them into ebooks.
From long experience, I’ve found that I’m at my best when I write individual short stories which can eventually cover a long-range story arc, even though each one can stand on its own, plot-wise. Eventually, I’ll put the stories all together in a collected edition, or perhaps make the entire story arc into a novel, essentially turning each short ebook into a chapter.
The thing I like best is coming up with new ideas for whatever I'm working on at the time. I may wake up in the middle of the night and think up a new scene. Once I even came up with an idea for a scene that had me stuck, while I was sitting in the dentist chair having my teeth cleaned! Usually, I go outside with blank paper and a pen in hand and just start scribbling down various ideas, asking "What if?" questions and listing as many answers as I can think of. Or perhaps I jot down an outline of what I want to happen, filling in the blanks later on. The biggest problem with doing that is being able to read my own scribbles once I reach the point of transcribing my brilliant inspirations into my computer.
I write erotica because I consider sex one of the most interesting and important parts of life. Not something dirty and shameful, but rather something that's capable of bringing great joy. Or, unfortunately, great sorrow, if used wrongly. I sometimes deal with that aspect of it also.
I enjoy playing around with sex in my writing. I deliberately try to turn it upside down and inside out. I like to explore the limits of fantasies and try to figure out why they work. Sometimes I come up with things that aren't even possible in the real world, or if they are, they wouldn't feel good at all.
As for me personally, I worked in healthcare for much of my life, but I’m now retired, so I spend most of my spare time writing. I live in the Sunny South, not too far from the hurricane-ridden shores of North Carolina, along with my partner, my cat, and a longtime friend.
