Karin Johannisson was a Swedish professor of Science and Ideas History at Uppsala University since 1996. Johannisson was a member of the Gastronomic Academy since 2003, and the Royal Academy of Sciences and the Royal Science Society in Uppsala.
Johannisson, who specialized in medical history, studied the Ideas History of Sten Lindroth and Ronny Ambjörnsson at Gothenburg University and came to Uppsala University on 1969.
