I write contemporary Southern fiction. Most of us Southern gals have had to deal with men who made the rake, Rhett Butler, look like a lap dog. There's an uppity attitude that seems to be an inherited trait in the small towns I've had the pleasure in inhabit. I'm here to put an end to that Southern happily-ever-after myth.
There are secrets, ugly ones, that hide behind those sweet verandas and green ivy covered shutters on the stately houses in those sublime backwater towns.
I'm going to let you in on the secrets.
I've come to believe that people take themselves too seriously. My sense of humor helps me understand the old saying, "Nobody gets out of life alive." The only truth is in the living. If you're not living to your fullest, take a break, and go live a little, love a lot, and be grateful for what you have.
I love to write, travel, garden, and visit my children and grandchildren.
My sick sense of humor comes out in my stories. I hope you enjoy reading the books as much as I enjoy writing.
