She has several widely praised books to her name, including A Handbook of Scotland’s Wild Harvests and A Handbook of Scotland’s Trees. She is a former Trustee of Borders Forest Trust and Reforesting Scotland and a founding member of the Wildwood Group.
She also writes as Fiona J. Houston.
