Kelly Haider, MS, LPC is a licensed professional counselor specializing in ADHD in girls and women across the lifespan. Her work focuses on executive function, hormonal transitions, energy regulation, and the lived experience of neurodivergence.

Through her clinical practice, she observed a recurring pattern: women were not failing because of lack of effort, discipline, or motivation. They were struggling within systems and advice models built around male-based research, linear productivity, and stable cognitive bandwidth. Her writing bridges clinical research, lived experience, and practical application, offering regulation-based frameworks that reflect how women’s brains and bodies actually function.

She is the author of the ADHD Across the Lifespan series, including:
• ADHD Is Not a Willpower Problem: Why ADHD Advice Fails Women and What to Do Instead

• Menopause, ADHD, and The Myth of Multitasking: The Midlife Plot Twist No One Warned Us About

Her books examine how ADHD presents differently in girls and women during key developmental stages, including puberty, reproductive years, perimenopause, and menopause. Rather than emphasizing willpower or rigid productivity systems, her work explores dopamine access, executive function variability, hormonal influence, and cognitive load across changing life demands.

In addition to her clinical writing, Kelly is also the author of The Mountain and The Men (『山と男たち』), a historical account of the 1954 Yakushima recovery effort that honors seventeen American servicemen and the Japanese forestry workers who responded. The project reflects her longstanding interest in archival research, cross-cultural storytelling, and preserving overlooked narratives.

Kelly lives and works in the Pacific Northwest, where she continues to develop practical tools, therapeutic frameworks, and educational resources to support neurodivergent women across every stage of life.
