Born, raised and recently returned to Warwickshire, she grew up loving books, films, theatre and a succession of heartbreakers. She went to university by the seaside in Bournemouth where she studied a degree in screenwriting for film and television. After university she lived in the prettiest street in Peckham and worked in glittering Soho.

She also lived in Poland for a while, and while on extended holidays she worked at primary schools in Krakow, Nepal and on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. In 2007 she had a baby girl and in 2009 she had a baby boy. Somewhere in between she got married in New York City.

She now lives in a small village house with a big attic where she writes romantic fiction.
