South Australian author and musician Matthew R. Davis has published over one hundred dark short stories and poems around the world thus far, as well as seven books to date. He's been shortlisted for a Shirley Jackson Award (2020), the Washington Science Fiction Association Small Press Award (2020), a Ditmar Award (2022), seven Aurealis Awards (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023), and eight Australasian Shadows Awards (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024), winning two Shadows in 2019. He was bassist/vocalist for Blood Red Renaissance and icecocoon, edits and composes for short films and video clips, performs occasional spoken word, and dabbles in visual art. He lives in Morphett Vale, Adelaide, with the award-winning artist Meg Wright (aka Red Wallflower) and her cats Juniper and Lexi.
