I can't remember a time when I didn't love mysteries. The addiction started with Agatha Christie's books and Hercule Poirot on BBC's Mystery. I, also, love what a person has to go through to become who they are. So, when I'm not writing about a person who has had to start from scratch building a career in sleuthing, I binge watch whatever mystery television series I can when my husband hasn't taken over the TV watching football and basketball.
My goal in writing my books is to give people a fun adventure with a light side of real life and all the relationships that hold us together.
At the least, I hope my books make you smile and laugh. At the most, I hope I inspire you to venture out into the unknown trusting what you're capable of and understanding, like my character Photine Fortier, that it can be a bumpy ride but it sure is worth it.
I write to prevent my 100-year-old-self from saying, "I never showed myself what I was truly capable of."
