Major George Charles Nonte Jr. was an American expert on firearms and handloading. He was a prolific magazine writer and the author of more than 15 books. He served twenty years in the U.S. Army (1944-1964) and retired as a major in the Ordnance Corp. He was a very flamboyant individual and famous for his handlebar mustache.
