Anke Scheeren (b. 1982) studied Biological Psychology at the University of Maastricht, published work on autism, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Developmental Psychology at the Free University in Amsterdam. She has been active as a literary author since 2004, winning a number of small but significant encouragement prizes, such as the first round of the Write Now! writing competition in Limburg and the 2006 Hollands Maandblad writers’ grant. Her stories have appeared in literary magazines including Lava and Hollands Maandblad (text by Dutch foundation for literature).
