Andrew Johns, associate professor of history, received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000 and joined the faculty at Brigham Young University in 2004. A specialist in 20th century U.S. history, his research and teaching focus on the history of U.S. foreign relations, with an emphasis on the Cold War and the nexus of foreign policy and domestic politics–the ways in which the U.S. engagement with the wider world shapes politics at home, and vice versa.
