Gillian Scott lives at the bottom of the world in beautiful New Zealand, but her heart has always been on the move. Bitten by the travel bug at eighteen, she has spent decades exploring the globe, first as a tour rep and manager in Europe during the 1990s, then leading groups through New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the U.S., India, and, recently, back through Europe, Australia and South America.

In 2011, Gillian, her husband, and their two young children swapped routine for adventure, packing up their lives to backpack around the world for nine unforgettable months.

Drawing on her years behind the microphone of a coach and in front of hundreds of travellers, Gillian turned her experiences into fiction. Her debut series, What Goes On Tour, and the follow-up Terrific Tour series capture the humour, heart, and chaos of life on the road, where the stories are as unpredictable as the passengers.
