Son of a Tipperary farmer, Kevin Fitzgerald spent four years at Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in Devon and subsequently joined the Agricultural Department of ICI, for which company he worked for the next 35 years.
He wrote a number of thrillers, as well as a history of the Farmers Club, a portrait of the Chilterns (where he lived), and late in life, an autobiographical work.
