Mikey G. Swann was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Growing up in the ex-mining town of Mexborough, Mikey has always had a creative mind and been passionate about his eclectic mix of hobbies and interests. From amateur snooker playing, to travelling the world, researching and visiting the UK’s most weird and wondrous public houses, being a collector of rare whiskies and writing poetry.

In September 2019, Mikey published his first ever book; Weird, Wondrous & Historic Pubs of the United Kingdom, based on his own travel experiences around some of the country's most unique and unexampled public houses.

In July 2021, Mikey published his second book; A Potion of Emotion: A Collection of Poems from the Cauldron of Imagination which was written throughout the pandemic lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. Using various poetic styles and types, it contains a mixture of love, tragedy, realism, isolation, fear, courage and hope to awaken the reader's emotions deep within.
