JD Steiner is an American young-adult and children's fiction writer. She credits her studies at the acclaimed Chicago Writer’s Loft for her drive to create new worlds, and for her propensity to pile conflict onto her characters, while crafting her stories into rich, dramatic, and relatable fiction. JD draws inspiration from the entrepreneurial spirit and stories of real people. An advocate for young writers, and artists of all kinds, JD lives and works north of Chicago, Illinois, nurturing and promoting the aspirations and dreams of youth.
