Once on her way to school Mariama passed a bee busy pollinating one flower after the other. After sitting down in class, Jobe took on the quest to help people and most significantly girls and women of marginalized groups to blossom and reach their fullest potential.

Jobe is a Gambian author, project manager and social entrepreneur. With her performance art she has recited her original work at the Raoul Wallenberg's gala. Her written work has been printed in journals such as Ponton, Context and Mana. During their 100-year anniversary, Jobe wrote and performed for The International Women's association for peace and freedom at the Nobel Museum in Sweden.

Mariama Jobe published Sannu, Imane and A Black Girl's Handbook. She lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
