Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, Governing, TheAtlantic.com, the Wall Street Journal, Democracy, and numerous other publications. The author of Abandoned: America’s Lost Youth and the Crisis of Disconnection (The New Press), she lives in northern Virginia.
