A specialist in modern political thought and intellectual history, Duncan Kelly is Professor of Politics in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge. Prior to taking up his appointment at Cambridge, Kelly was a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Sheffield (2000-2003), after which he took up a lectureship in politics at Sheffield until 2007.
