I was born in London in 1949, and trained as a sculptor in Paris. I fell in love with Abstract Expressionism, and moved to the United States in 1974. In 1982, I began to divide my time between a studio in Italy and New York City where I regularly exhibited my work. During this period, I wrote short stories about my summers on a farm in the Tuscan hills and became interested in the history of the area.

After a hiatus during which I married, raised two gorgeous children and took an MA at the Tavistock Centre in London, I began work on my debut novel Pippo's War which will be published in May 2015.

I am currently researching my second novel and leading a happily peripatetic life with my historian husband.
