With the ensuing global liberalization of economic activities, dominated by monopoly capitalism which controls 1/3 of world trade, overproduction and the creation of bubble economies were bound to intensify due to the rapaciousness of the imperialist countries to widen their trade and export of surplus capital to the less-developed nations.
