Solicitor Benedicta (Ben) O’Keeffe returns to her practice in Glendara where a charity cycle event is delayed by torrential rain, trapping the cyclists in town. Then the body of the event organizer washes down the mountain, literally falling onto a passing vehicle. Bridges are down and roads are impassible.
