Dear Santa,

Is it okay for this wealthy self-made man to request something for myself this year? Especially if it’s something money can’t buy? I’m not greedy. I just want one thing… Love. Someone for this Daddy to treasure. And if it’s not too much, a family too? One that will fill my too large, too empty, and all too lonely house.

Hold up. Let me slow my roll because I’m getting a bit heavy over here. Melodramatic, even. I’m just trying to be honest. We both know I’m a decent guy with a good life. A very good life. But the nights are getting longer and the other side of the bed is so dang cold. Did I mention lonely?

So yeah… if it’s okay to ask for a gift of my own this Christmas, I’d like a family to love, a partner to treasure, and maybe even a furbaby or two. Kisses under the mistletoe now, and a future filled with more love, laughter, and happiness than even a decent man like me could possibly deserve.
