Helen Jones is a dreamer who's often accused of having her head in the clouds. She set her sights on Jesse Prichard when he came to town, but there's more to him than meets the eye.

Jesse is a man of secrets. He's part banker, part lawman, and completely frustrated that his past has put a woman he cares for in danger.

At a time when Helen should be focusing on winning a prestigious baking competition for her business, she has to be more worried about Black Jack Pruitt coming back to town to exact his revenge. Not to mention, she's experiencing somewhat of a faith crisis as she reconciles pieces of who she is with who the Lord wants her to be. As Jesse and Helen do their best to navigate a tenuous friendship, challenges from all sides threaten any romance they might have. Will justice prevail or will these two be kept apart due to forces beyond their control?
