Ever been given a gift you wish you could return?

That's how I feel about my supernatural powers. Supposedly I can call, control, and even use the power of demons.

But I've never managed to make it happen, not like it's supposed to. My confrontations with demons are a terrifying mix of complete and utter chaos, and a bumbling ability to survive by the skin of my teeth. Not exactly powerful supernatural magic at its finest.

They're basically not much use to me. They can't help me escape from the police, who still think I'm a runaway mental patient. They can't defend me against people like Connor, who still wants to use me in his demon experiments.

And when everything turns upside down, and the humans start being able to see supernaturals, all my abilities do is put a huge target on my head, without the ability to defend myself...
