Environmental disasters have forced most of humanity to live inside Roaring Rocket Amusement Park. Everyone is happy riding broken-down rides except for Kai. When Kai spots a healthy tree inside a giant maze, he wonders if orbs from that tree can transport him to a new green planet.
Kai’s friend, RJ, tries to talk him out of his dreams but Kai persists. With less than fifty orb trees left due to natural disasters (caused by the lack of recycling and global warming), Kai longs for a planet that is more green. Ketera is a planet that is green and colorful but it is very far away.
Determined to get to Planet Ketera, Kai takes his knapsack—which can only carry 5 orbs—and sets out to reach the largest rubus tree in search of more powerful orbs to fuel his flight. In the process, he meets interesting characters including; Amos the beetle, Ada, the camel and Lennon, the balloon boy.
In a story that raises awareness to topics such as environmental conservation, climate change and sustainability, Kai learns the importance of kindness, empathy and friendship. As well, Kai develops stronger self-esteem, self-reliance and self-awareness.
Leaving behind landfills, garbage and excessive waste, Kai ventures forward in search of a greener world.
