Christmas is the worst time of the year. Ever since Mr. Claus and I went our separate ways, I dreaded the holidays. Everyone I knew was busy making magic happen and I was left with a lot of free time and a pile of what-ifs.

Escaping to the quaint mountain town of Tinsel was my annual tradition. Far from the merriment of the North Pole and the reminders that I had once been one half of a dynamic Christmas duo.

Now I was simply Miriam, a single woman in her forties who enjoyed solo vacations at Christmas and had the curse of eternity to ponder how it all went wrong.
