It's time to take one for the team.

As the mascot for Allbreck University’s football team, the last thing Ruth expects is to be thrown over someone’s shoulder and stuffed into a minivan. She already has enough to deal with, between her unmanaged ADHD and a sort-of-ex that pretends they were never more than friends. She really doesn’t need to add kidnapping by their fiercest rivals to the list—even if it lands her in the capable hands of their intriguing center, Rowan.

When Rowan accepted a coaching job for after graduation, he knew that things were going to change. He just didn’t realize that change would feel like losing everything. Now his dad is disappointed, his coach’s expectations are growing, and his teammates treat him more like staff than one of their own.

So when he’s roped into a drunken scheme to kidnap their rival’s mascot, he wants nothing to do with it. He’s sick of cleaning up their messes. But once she takes off the toad head and he gets his first look at those big green eyes, he realizes he might have bigger issues.
