A super-secret government program, Project Eve, is ready to open its Earth-based Colony Eden and needs its first recruits. The Colony only accepts women who have the "Eve" gene, and only some women of African descent possess it. Aliens from a distant galaxy have signed an agreement with humans, making Project Eve also tasked with pairing an alien with one of its recruits. New couples, despite the challenges, are required to build lives together in the colony.
