I’m far from perfect.

I’ve made mistakes.

And every day I wake up and make a promise to myself. A promise to stay on the right path and not let my past take hold.

Relationships are risky for someone not in recovery. For a guy like me, it could not only be dangerous, but it could compromise all the work I’ve done to stay clean. At least that’s what my family thinks.

But Violet adds a purpose to my life that I didn’t even realize I was missing.
