Scandalously famous Austrian writer Leopold von Sacher-Masoch was, in fact, the first who, at the cost of his lifetime fame and posthumous "good name", pointed to the direct dependence of passion and suffering, pain and pleasure, sensuality and cruelty in sexual life, thus anticipating the discovery psychoanalysis and artistic revelations of decadence. It is no coincidence that the heroine of his famous "Venus in Furs" says that "in the final analysis, in all our passions there is nothing particularly who does not like beautiful furs, and everyone knows and feels how close to each other lust and cruelty are." The demonic women of Zaher-Masoch consciously or unconsciously preach the aesthetics of pleasure through torture, however, unlike heroines de Sade, they prefer to be dressed and not undressed.
