Dear Author,
The stories are old. They go back even before my father’s father, and his father’s father before him. I don’t exactly know what happened. I just know how we live today. What was this place once? And what can it teach me today?
Photo Description: A dilapidated fairy tale type library. Wooden trellises, balconies and furniture are in various states of disrepair. Vegetation has taken hold: trees are pushing against the ceiling, moss thinly carpeting the ground and vines griping at every vertex. The style is antiquated, yet bright and open, making it a comforting and peaceful scene even in the midst of this decay.
This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love is Always Write" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.
